Brookline, MA

It was time; time, to renovate the unattractive 1960’s utilitarian kitchen in one of Brookline’s finest homes. The kitchen is the heart of the American home.  It’s where families gather before work, between soccer practice and piano lessons and where we catch up with each other at the end of the day. This is why; in spite of having 2 other dining spaces in the house, this busy family wanted a place in the kitchen to sit down have a snack and a place to share a quick meal.

By reclaiming underutilized space from the preexisting kitchen and working with classically styled white cabinetry, rich moldings and a spectacular new wood coffered ceiling, the heart was uplifted and refreshed.
